Hi, my name is Alberto Rossotto 👋

I got my first computer (a ZX Spectrum) when I was only 4. I could not even read the keyboard, but that thing was fascinating! A few years later, I wrote my first lines in BASIC on an Amiga to speed up my math homework. Several years later, I graduated from the Polytechnic of Turin with a degree in Software Engineering.

I worked for several years for small startups and large companies in Italy, The Netherlands, and the UK. I focused primarily on fintech and banking, but I also spent five years at the Schiphol Airport as the Lead Developer of a core application in logistics. Now I work as Engineering Manager for 10x developing core banking services.

I’m a lifelong learner and keep studying Computer Science. Being a knowledge worker, I take a lot of notes to keep everything organised and sometimes translate those notes into articles. I started this blog to collect (at least a portion of) what I do in a single place.
